Cory Wasniewski
Cory Wasniewski is the President of Roberts Environmental Control Corp, a leading mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC, piping, sheet metal, controls, service, and test and balance throughout Illinois.
Before joining the mechanical industry, Cory built his career as an electrical engineer in the aerospace sector, where he led an innovative design department focused on high-reliability systems. His work earned multiple U.S. design patents and instilled a deep commitment to precision, safety, and forward-thinking engineering.
At Roberts HVAC, Cory brings that same technical rigor and leadership to the built environment—driving growth, quality, and client-focused solutions. He remains a strong advocate for union labor and trades education, working closely with union and regional partners to support a skilled and future-ready workforce.

Jim Wasniewski
Jim Wasniewski is the Founder of Roberts Environmental Control Corp, a leading mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC, piping, sheet metal, controls, service, and test and balance throughout Illinois.
Starting in the 1970s with a small refrigeration service business, Jim grew Roberts from a one-man operation into a respected name in commercial and industrial mechanical contracting. His focus on technical excellence, client trust, and steady, hands-on leadership helped establish a company culture rooted in craftsmanship and accountability.
Today, Jim remains an active mentor and advisor—sharing five decades of industry insight while championing union labor and skilled trades. His commitment to quality and people continues to shape the company’s growth and enduring reputation.

Kevin Weiland
Kevin Weiland is the Vice President of Service at Roberts Environmental Control Corp, a leading mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC, piping, sheet metal, controls, service, and test and balance throughout Illinois.
Kevin began his career in the HVAC and mechanical service field, developing hands-on expertise across a range of commercial and industrial systems. At Roberts HVAC, Kevin leads the service division with a commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. He champions preventative maintenance strategies, rapid-response service, and long-term energy efficiency—all while supporting the advancement of union labor and skilled trade development in the region.
